R.O.C.  Reaching Out Communities

Picture
Pat Dee, R.O.C. Leader
Life can be pretty overwhelming at times. Our desire to find love, acceptance, and significance can push us to live life frantically. Unfortunately, despite our efforts, many of us still find ourselves disconnected and without a real sense of purpose. Without meaningful connections with God and others, and purposeful activities that give expression to who we really are, the maddening currents of life can suck us in and spin our lives around.

For this reason the Bridge is continually exploring new ideas about connecting with others and God, and living out our passions in ways that make a difference in the world.

Reaching Out Communities (ROCs) provide an opportunity for people to build relationships and develop their spirituality while offering hope and help to others. The exciting part in all of this is that these groups are built around the common interests and passions of the people participating.  Please feel free to contact The Bridge office at 717-566-6578 if you would like some additional information or to talk more about ROCs. You can also click on their pictures below and email each leader for more information!

Care for the Caring

“Care for the Caring” is an outreach of the “Eyes Wide Open” ROC group of the The Bridge Church.  Our purpose is to reach out to those who are serving as caregivers for a loved one, and who are struggling with the loneliness and fear that goes along with that responsibility.  Our goal is to extend the mission of Jesus by opening our hearts and extending our hands to help support and offer companionship and friendship when the emotions associated with caregiving become overwhelming. Our purpose is not to care for the patient, but to care for the caregiver.

If you would be interested in compassionately giving of your time by becoming involved as a volunteer, or if you know of someone who could benefit from our services, please contact Sherry Linderman at jslinderman@gmail.com.  Or by phone at 717-222-9109 or 717-832-3125.
